The Musicplay for Kindergarten Big Book is a coiled 11x17 book that illustrates the musical concepts that are taught in the kindergarten curriculum. Many of the short songs in the program are charted, so that beginning readers can read the words. Many of these short songs are also used to have the kindergarten students begin to read rhythm and melody. The book includes suggestions on how to use each page.

Piano accompaniments for Musicplay K-6 will be a useful tool for performances and for classroom use. All accompaniments are formatted in “octavo” style with separate vocal staffs. Chord symbols are included. 160-260 pages Coiled to lay flat on the piano.

These songs will have you moving to the beat while you learn the letters of the alphabet. For each letter, a phonics song AND an action song are given. The two CD’s include vocal performances for you to learn the songs, and accompaniment (karaoke) tracks for the action songs so you can perform them in assemblies. Stories about each character and reproducible take-home student pages are included so your students can get extra practice. Research has demonstrated that the use of music and movement will really help your students to learn the letters and the sounds that the letter makes. The songs are so much fun that the students won’t know how much they’re learning!

This poem is given as an illustrated reproducible little book in “Reproducible Story Book Vol. 2” and is Charted in Big Storybook vol. 2

Photocopy the story from the reproducible story book. Have a parent volunteer cut up the pages and staple them in the correct order. (They are easy to put together - no folds) The title page for each story is left blank so the child can draw a picture showing what the song makes them think of. If the children wish to, they can color the pictures in the book. Sing the song as a class, sing or read with the Big Storybook, and then have the children track the words in their own storybook. These collections contain the same stories as the Big Storybook chant books. Read the story from the Big Story Book in your classroom. Give the children individual little books to read along or to take home and practice with their parents.
